Becoming a host family

By hosting, the au pair will take care of your children and light housework.
In exchange, the host family will provide food & accommodation, language course and a monthly pocket money

Who can be a host family?

Have at least one child under
13 years and you should be
officially registered in Belgium

Open for other cultures and
be willing to offer a warm environment for your au pair
as a part of your family

Conditions of host family

  • Provide a separate bedroom

  • Provide free access to house

  • Support au pair to follow language courses (Dutch, French or German)

  • Provide a health insurance that covering medical, hospitalization and repatriation costs for au pair

  • Monthly au pair pocket money 450EUR (also during inactivity or holidays)

  • Au pair can take at least 1 day off per week
