Becoming an au pair

As an au pair you have the life-changing opportunity to live abroad and to experience a whole new culture, as well sharing your own culture with your host family

Who can be an au pair?

  • Aged between 18 to 25 years old

  • You are unmarried and have no children

  • Must be willing to learn Dutch, French or German

  • Have a love for kids & be caring

  • Independent, mature, creative, patient, positive attitude  and very passionate working with children

  • Have had previous childcare experience proven through references

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Have basic knowledge of the language of the host family (English, Dutch, French or German)

  • Never had a work permit before in Belgium

  • You have no criminal record

  • You have a good health

  • No smoking

  • Having a driver's license is an advantage
